Working in the Bushwick area and looking for Parking the smell of BBQ smoked meats filled my car......I had some time to kill in between sales calls so I investigated to find the source of the wonderful scent. That scent brought me to Arrogant Swine. Very divey....country.....rock a billy whiskey bar serving Carolina BBQ. There are a handful of picnic tables outside and a handful inside. The bar is well stocked with Whiskey and features Jack Daniels. Service is a bit spotty, it took a solid 5 minutes for me to be noticed but it's par for the course here in Millenial laden Bushwick. The menu is interesting and I will go back with a group to try the entire menu. Today I went with their Rib lunch special which includes a side and a corn bread muffin. I took the order to go as I had to park illegally....shocker I opened the to go plate and much to my surprise there were 2 tremendous St. Louis cut pork ribs on a piece of white bread. The side of Macaroni and Cheese was huge while the corn bread muffin was a generous size. The Ribs had sauce drizzled on them which was nice, I like to taste the spices on the ribs with and without sauce. The ribs had a nice smoke to them, not offensive at all. The fat was perfectly rendered and the sauce was wonderful. The macaroni and cheese was a mixed bag, the cheese was awesome but the macaroni was over cooked and quasi mush. The corn bread muffin was a great touch. At $9.50 this was a great deal. I could have added bbq chicken for $12.50. I will go back for happy hour and more thorough tour of their menu.

Cool little find! Started off with a Kentucky Mule since they had such a good bourbon selection. He didn't use any syrup so he gets an A+ I ordered North Carolina outside brown, which is pork shoulder cut into steaks and slow smoked to make the entire shoulder into "bark". So good! Their BBQ sauce is the right amount of vinegar. And the blacked pork is to die for! So the cornbread isn't the best I've had - maybe a little dry, but the fact that they give you a tub of butter already melted makes up for a lot. I also had a waffle breaded mac and cheese. So I'm mixed on this - the mac n cheese, again, not the best BUT, and a really big But here, the fact that the cheese is melted on a waffle iron more than makes it amazing! I'm not usually a Cole slaw person, but I ate every bit of it - so good! So i really really really recommend this place!!!!

Love this spot! Great beers and great food. I tried the Vietnamese coffee flavored stout, the milk stout and the Horny Devil. All great beers. It is a very big space. There was a baby shower here when I went so this space have hold parties. For food, I tried their hog sandwich and Vietnamese glazed wings. Very hearty portions for the cost and very delicious! Would recommend this spot!
